The organizing committee welcomes proposals for organizing special sessions at BTAS 2015. The aim of these sessions is to highlight fields of special and emerging interest in biometrics.


Suggested areas include:

  1. On using biometrics and forensics to provide evidence in a court of law

  2. On the use of cognitive psychology in biometric analysis

  3. Mobile biometrics

  4. Post-mortem biometrics

  5. Biometric system usability and ergonomics

  6. Biometrics in the cloud


Special Session proposals on other areas not indicated above are also welcome and highly encouraged. Each special session should comprise five papers. The review schedule/process for papers submitted to the Special Session will be the same as that of the main BTAS 2015 conference.


Special Session proposals should contain the following details:

1. Title of the proposed special session;

2. Names/affiliation of the organizers;

3. Description of the significance of the topic and the rationale for the proposed session;

4.  A list of research groups currently active in that area.
